Bio

Brigid G. Lynch is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC). She received her Masters Degree in Counseling from Oakland University and her Bachelors Degree in Human Resources from Michigan State University.

Brigid has over 20 years of experience working with the bereaved in various areas of funeral service. She provides follow-up services and individual and group counseling for the families served by Lynch & Sons. She maintains a private counseling practice in Bingham Farms where she uses her experience to help those suffering from grief & loss, depression and anxiety disorders. Brigid is often called upon by local school districts to assist students, teachers and staff, with crisis intervention following a death by suicide or other traumatic loss.

Brigid is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma.

Brigid is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Michigan Counseling Association. She has access to many resources and maintains a lending library for clients through her office in Bingham Farms. For consultation or to schedule an appointment, please call 248-330-2474.
